What are the main functions of aluminum alloy die forgings
The deflection directions of the upper and lower die forgings of the hammer wedge are different. The small end of the key block is located in the key slot of the dovetail of the forging die, and the large end is located in the dovetail slot of the hammer head or die seat. The forging die constantly bears the impact force during the working process. Before forging, the die must be preheated to about 150~200 ℃ to prevent the stress caused by temperature difference from cracking by heavy impact. There are two types of forging dies: integral forging die and insert forging die. Most of the former. When individual parts of the die groove (convex part of the die groove) are easy to wear, the vulnerable part can be changed into a removable insert to form a local insert forging die. Generally, hot pressing and wedge iron fastening are used for insert assembly. The former is mostly applicable to local insert assembly.
In order to balance the component force generated by the parting surface of the curved surface, a balance brake buckle is arranged on the forging die to prevent the dislocation of the forging die. The forging die brake buckle (guide rail or pin buckle) has many forms: round, diagonal, quadrangle, etc. The jaw is reserved at the end of the forging die groove close to the operating direction, which is convenient to clamp the blank. The clamp is located in this space when working. In order to facilitate the installation and adjustment of the forging die, an inspection angle shall be formed on both sides of the forging die near the parting, with a height of 30~50mm and a depth of 5mm.
The die forging shall be cooled and lubricated. Common coolants are compressed air, salt saturated solution, sawdust and a small amount of cold water. Common lubricants are brine, sawdust, gun oil, molybdenum disulfide, etc.
A die forging is a work piece that combines a die and a forging process. Because forging can change the internal structure of metal materials and improve their mechanical properties, die forgings are often used for various parts of mechanical equipment. In the process of making die forgings, attention should be paid to safety issues.
